PHP and Movable Type

I’ve been evaluating Movable Type for use on the ATNF website. We use PHP as the major scripting language for actions such as includes and news lists. Movable Type, on the other hand, is a Perl based tool. However, the Perl is only used to generate static pages, so you are able to add PHP statements into the templates, which are parsed normally.

Movable Type is quite a polished product, unlike my own attempts. I might try installing it here for blink to use. Might be interesting to develop methods to communicate between my home grown PHP system and Movable Type.
