I modified the news and events system on the CSIRO’s Australia Telescope National Facility’s website today so that it generates an RSS 2.0 feed. This is an XML format that provides an easy way of sharing the news and events headlines across websites. For instance, you can where I’ve included them on this website.
The Feed Validator is a very useful tool for checking and debugging the RSS output, something that’s highly recommended before advertising a feed to the wider world.
